About The Position

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Chocolatier to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing high-quality caramel apples and handcrafted confectionery items, delivering excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean, organized store environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working with food, takes pride in presentation, and thrives in a fast-paced retail setting.

Requirements

Previous food service, retail, or customer service experience preferred
Ability to follow recipes and work with attention to detail
Comfortable handling food products and working with hands
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts (including weekends and holidays)
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs
Comfortable working in a kitchen/retail environment

Responsibilities

Prepare and dip caramel apples to Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory standards
Produce in-store confections including fudge, chocolates, and other specialty items
Follow recipes, portioning, and food safety guidelines
Maintain consistency, quality, and visual appeal of all products
Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
Provide product recommendations and samples when appropriate
Accurately process transactions using the POS system
Handle customer questions and resolve concerns promptly
Open and close the cash register, including counting tills and balancing drawers
Follow proper cash handling procedures and loss prevention policies
Assist with inventory, stocking, and product rotation
Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment at all times
Clean equipment, prep areas, display cases, and customer-facing spaces
Follow all health and safety regulations
