About The Position

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Chocolatier to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing high-quality caramel apples and handcrafted confectionery items, delivering excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean, organized store environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working with food, takes pride in presentation, and thrives in a fast-paced retail setting.

Requirements

  • Previous food service, retail, or customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to follow recipes and work with attention to detail
  • Comfortable handling food products and working with hands
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts (including weekends and holidays)
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs
  • Comfortable working in a kitchen/retail environment

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and dip caramel apples to Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory standards
  • Produce in-store confections including fudge, chocolates, and other specialty items
  • Follow recipes, portioning, and food safety guidelines
  • Maintain consistency, quality, and visual appeal of all products
  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Provide product recommendations and samples when appropriate
  • Accurately process transactions using the POS system
  • Handle customer questions and resolve concerns promptly
  • Open and close the cash register, including counting tills and balancing drawers
  • Follow proper cash handling procedures and loss prevention policies
  • Assist with inventory, stocking, and product rotation
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment at all times
  • Clean equipment, prep areas, display cases, and customer-facing spaces
  • Follow all health and safety regulations
