About The Position

Cirona Labs is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented, and motivated Chocolatier to join our Edibles Department. This role supports the production of high-quality cannabis-infused chocolate products in a fast-paced, regulated manufacturing environment. The Chocolatier position blends creativity, precision, consistency, and production discipline. The ideal candidate has a passion for chocolate, confectionery, and food manufacturing, while also understanding that success in this role requires strong attention to detail, sanitation, compliance, teamwork, and efficient execution. This position is responsible for producing, finishing, and handling chocolate products according to company standards, production schedules, food safety requirements, and New York State cannabis regulations.

Requirements

  • Prior professional experience working with chocolate is required.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, cleanliness, and product presentation.
  • Ability to follow recipes, batch records, formulas, SOPs, and written production instructions.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with daily production targets.
  • Ability to accurately weigh, measure, count, and document production activity.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well with supervisors and team members.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and improve.
  • Waste-conscious mindset with a commitment to minimizing production loss.

Nice To Haves

  • Chocolate tempering, molding, depositing, decorating, or confectionery production experience.
  • Experience in a regulated food, beverage, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or cannabis manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with GMPs, sanitation procedures, batch documentation, and production tracking.
  • Experience operating or cleaning chocolate production equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Produce and finish chocolate products according to approved recipes, work instructions, and quality standards.
  • Support chocolate manufacturing activities including tempering, molding, depositing, decorating, demolding, packaging prep, and product finishing.
  • Operate with a manufacturing-line mindset: efficient, organized, consistent, and focused on meeting daily production goals.
  • Accurately weigh, measure, document, and handle ingredients, infused inputs, batches, yields, and finished goods.
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, allergen control, and good manufacturing practices.
  • Follow cannabis compliance requirements related to infused product handling, documentation, tracking, labeling, and inventory accuracy.
  • Minimize waste throughout the production process by handling ingredients and finished products carefully and identifying opportunities to reduce loss.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and inspection-ready work areas, tools, equipment, and production rooms.
  • Assist with equipment setup, cleaning, breakdown, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Communicate production issues, quality concerns, equipment problems, or material shortages to the Edibles Manager or Supervisor immediately.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, efficiency, waste reduction, sanitation, and production flow.
  • Work cross-functionally with Edibles, Packaging, QA, Compliance, Inventory, and Facilities as needed.
  • Follow all company SOPs, production schedules, safety standards, and supervisor direction.
