About The Position

We are seeking specialized part-time consulting professionals with strong expertise in Chinese law and native-level Simplified Chinese language skills to support the development of an AI evaluation dataset. This role involves creating original, expert-level multiple-choice questions in Simplified Chinese, designing realistic legal scenarios, developing plausible answer options, and providing clear worked solutions grounded in academic and professional legal expertise.

Requirements

  • Law degree or equivalent Chinese legal qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of Chinese law and legal reasoning.
  • Native-level Simplified Chinese proficiency.
  • Educated in or based in China.
  • Strong analytical and written communication skills.
  • Ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly and precisely.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Ideally 2+ years of professional legal experience.
  • Experience with legal research, professional education, assessment design, or legal content development is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Create original multiple-choice questions covering Chinese law.
  • Develop realistic legal scenarios that test applied knowledge and legal reasoning.
  • Design questions appropriate for advanced AI evaluation and assessment.
  • Ensure questions are legally accurate, clearly written, and unambiguous.
  • Draw on professional and academic legal expertise when developing content.
  • Apply relevant Chinese legal principles to complex factual scenarios.
  • Develop questions requiring interpretation, analysis, and professional judgment.
  • Distinguish legally correct conclusions from plausible but incorrect alternatives.
  • Ensure reasoning accurately reflects the relevant Chinese legal framework.
  • Identify ambiguity or insufficient information within proposed questions.
  • Produce ten answer options for each question.
  • Identify one clearly correct answer and develop credible alternative responses.
  • Avoid overlapping, ambiguous, or trivially incorrect answer choices.
  • Maintain appropriate difficulty across question sets.
  • Ensure answer options effectively test substantive legal understanding.
  • Provide detailed worked solutions explaining the correct answer.
  • Present legal reasoning clearly and logically in Simplified Chinese.
  • Review completed questions for legal, linguistic, and structural accuracy.
  • Maintain consistent standards across assessment content.
  • Follow project-specific formatting and evaluation guidelines.
  • Identify and correct unclear wording, inconsistencies, or potential ambiguity.
