About The Position

A Merrie Sweepe is hiring a Sales Representative to cover Greenland, Portsmouth and the New Hampshire Seacoast. This is a job for someone who likes working with people and working with their hands. You will visit homeowners, inspect their chimney and fireplace systems, explain what you find, and build the estimate for the work. It is a field role, so you are out of the office and in a different home most of the day. We provide the vehicle and we will train you on the trade.

Requirements

Experience in sales, home services or a skilled trade.
A strong communicator who builds trust quickly.
Self-motivated and able to manage your own day in the field.
Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
Comfortable working at heights and in customers' homes.
Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Climb ladders and access rooftops safely.
Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather.

Nice To Haves

Chimney, HVAC, roofing or other home services background.
Experience with in-home estimating or CRM software.

Responsibilities

Inspect chimneys, fireplaces, dryer vents and venting systems in customers' homes.
Explain safety standards and maintenance needs to homeowners in plain language.
Prepare and present written estimates for cleanings, repairs, installations and rebuilds.
Close sales with a consultative approach. You are solving a safety problem, not pressuring anyone.
Follow up with customers and build the relationships that lead to referrals and repeat business.
Keep accurate records of inspections, photos and estimates.
