Chimney Apprentice
About The Position
Helper/Apprentice wanted for Chim-Chim Churee Chimney & Masonry to work with our lead technicians and learn the trade. You will be trained on all chimney and masonry-type jobs: installation of prefabricated chimneys, wood stoves, any repairs or masonry work, etc. Our work day begins at 7:00 am sharp and we usually work Monday-Friday every week except for major holidays or major weather. We are looking for someone to start immediately as we are approaching the winter season and will need you on your toes by then. This is a full-time job with growth opportunities in the company. We are a small, local company that values their employees and looks to help them grow.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license (for insurance purposes)

- Initiative when technicians are speaking with customers (e.g., setting up/taking down ladders, cleaning tools)
Responsibilities
- Mixing mortar
- Demolition of masonry
- Loading material
- Carrying ladders
- Keeping the van organized
- Assisting technicians with day-to-day tasks
- Setting up/taking down ladders and cleaning tools when technicians are speaking with customers
- Driving lead technician/mason between jobs
- Working on roofs, scaffolding and heights daily
