About The Position

The Apprentice School is an educational and career opportunity unlike any other. The School provides high quality, comprehensive 4 and 8-year apprentice programs for students interested in shipbuilding careers. Since 1919, our programs have produced over 10,000 graduates in support of the operational needs of Newport News Shipbuilding. Every day, our more than 800 apprentices push new boundaries of achievement and explore new opportunities in a complex and challenging workplace.
