This role ensures all children meet play area guidelines (height and potty-training requirements) and actively supervises the space to keep everything running smoothly.

Requirements

1 year experience in child care or related experience preferred.
Customer service experience is a plus.
First Aid and CPR/AED certified or ability to become certified.
Ability to comfort children of all ages.
Must be 18 years or older.
Reliable transportation
Fluent in the English language.
Ability to wear non-slip shoes to ensure a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

Greets parents and children immediately upon arrival.
Creates a friendly, professional, and positive first impression.
Responsible for handling the arrival and departure of children to the play area by checking them in, collecting identification and ensuring that both the children and the parent/guardian receive the correct bracelet prior to entering the play area and upon departure, confirming that children are returned to the correct parent/guardian leaving the play area.
Monitor’s children in the play area.
Keeps toys and play area clean and organized.
Maintains the cleanliness and safety of the Children’s Play area to ensure the over-all safety of the children entrusted to our care.
Responds to any emergency involving children in the care of Oakes Farms Seed to Table.
Maintains a safe and sanitary environment for working staff and the children.
Supports children’s age-appropriate emotional situations and addresses situations as needed if signs of problems are identified.
Notifies parent/guardian and/or management if an issue or problem were to occur.
Communicates concise and appropriate information throughout assigned shift with parent/guardian, co-workers, and supervisor.
