In Studio - Children's Art Teacher
About The Position
Kidcreate Studio is seeking a passionate and creative Part-Time In Studio - Children's Art Teacher to inspire young artists, aged 18 months to 12 years. This role involves teaching children how to create art using various materials like slime, clay, paint, and glitter. The position offers permanent and seasonal opportunities, with a focus on spreading a passion for art education. Daily tasks include inspiring creativity, encouraging artistic expression, and making a positive impact on children's lives through hands-on art experiences. The role can be based in the Wixom studio or involve traveling to local schools and community organizations as a Mobile Art Teacher. The company is a fast-growing, locally owned business with studios nationwide, offering a fun and rewarding career path.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Reliable transportation is a must (vehicle required for mobile programs).
- Enthusiastic, dependable, creative, and loves working with kids.
- Understands the importance of availability during school breaks, no-school days, snow days, holidays, camps, and workshops.
- Ability to work independently and as an outstanding team player.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proactive and enjoys finding solutions before problems arise.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable being on your feet throughout the day and helping wherever needed.
- Excited to support a fun, energetic team and help create unforgettable experiences for children and families.

Responsibilities
- Lead engaging art classes, camps, workshops, birthday parties, and special events for children ages 18 months to 12 years.
- Teach both in our Wixom studio and at mobile locations throughout the surrounding communities.
- Create a fun, safe, positive, and encouraging environment where every child feels successful.
- Encourage creativity, build confidence, and make every child feel like an artist.
- Prepare, organize, and clean up art materials before and after each class.
- Follow lesson plans while bringing your own energy, enthusiasm, and creativity to every class.
- Help maintain classrooms, supplies, and materials so they're always ready for the next creative adventure.
- Communicate professionally with parents, caregivers, school staff, and fellow team members.
- Represent Kidcreate Studio with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude wherever you teach.
- Get a kick out of making a mess—and believe kids should be messy too!
