About The Position

At Children’s Wisconsin, every visitor’s journey begins with you. As a Children’s Ambassador, you’ll be the welcoming face that sets the tone for a safe, supportive, and uplifting experience. This is more than a role—it’s an opportunity to make a lasting impact on children, families, and our community. You will welcome visitors with warmth and empathy, greet them with kindness, compassion, and understanding, recognizing that families may be experiencing stress, worry, or joy. Your presence ensures a positive and comforting first impression. You will guide guests by badging and screening them according to visitation guidelines, then help them navigate the facility with confidence. You will support families by determining destinations and transportation needs, offering assistance every step of the way. You will also provide internal patient transport that is both secure and engaging, and stock and move wheelchairs, strollers, and carts to ensure accessibility across the facility.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • At least one year of customer service experience, including conflict management.
  • Understanding of developmental needs across all age groups—from neonatal to adult.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and prioritization skills.
  • Confidence and composure in stressful situations, with the ability to diffuse negativity.
  • Critical thinking skills to make independent decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • CPR certification (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers) required within 90 days of hire.
