About The Position

York General is opening a brand-new, purpose-built child care center, the York General Children's Academy, in Spring 2026. This academy is designed with children, families, and educators in mind and represents an investment in early childhood education and the community. We are hiring Children's Academy Teachers to be part of the inaugural team, helping to shape a new program, create a warm and inspiring learning environment, and grow their careers within a trusted, award-winning organization.

Requirements

At least 18 years of age
High School Diploma or GED
Infant & Child CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to complete required child care training within the first 6 months
Successful completion of background checks and fingerprinting

Nice To Haves

Degree in Early Childhood Education

Responsibilities

Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children
Plan and lead age-appropriate activities that encourage learning and discovery
Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
Maintain health and safety standards, including meal service and classroom cleanliness
Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and York General policies
