About The Position

Kidcreate Studio is seeking a part-time lead teacher for their children's art studio. The role involves teaching classes, camps, and birthday parties in various South Orange County locations. The schedule is flexible, focusing on after-school classes (Monday-Thursday afternoons) and weekend birthday parties. The position requires 11-16 hours per week initially, with potential for more hours. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about arts and working with children, offering valuable teaching experience in a supportive environment.

Requirements

• Availability on Mondays and Wednesday afternoons.
• Availability on most weekends.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Willing to submit to a DOJ/FBI background check.
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Able to lift and carry 10-20 pounds frequently, up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Flexible availability and comfortable with part-time hours that vary from week to week.
• Experience working with groups of preschool and/or elementary aged children.

Nice To Haves

• College education a plus (graduates or in progress).
• Comfortable working in various environments (classrooms, outdoor areas, lunchrooms).

Responsibilities

• Prepare for classes and parties using provided curriculum.
• Lead classes and parties for children ages 3-11.
• Manage a classroom of 10-24 students, with an assistant for larger classes.
• Interact with parents and caregivers.
• Clean up the classroom using provided cleaning supplies.
• Maintain materials and supplies.
