About The Position

Seeking a qualified Art Teacher to work with K-8 students. The ideal candidate will possess a New Jersey Art Teacher Certificate and a strong understanding of the NJ Visual Arts Standards. This role requires demonstrated knowledge of child development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, assessment, and research related to learning. The teacher will be responsible for instructing students in various art techniques and art history, and for using assessment and data analysis to inform instruction. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Requirements

• New Jersey Art Teacher Certificate
• Knowledge of the NJ Visual Arts Standards
• Experience working with K-8 students
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and diagnosis, and research related to learning.
• Teacher knowledge and skills in art, including drawing, painting, lettering, and art history
• Demonstrate techniques in activities such as drawing and painting
• Knowledge of assessment and data analysis for instructional purposes
• Excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and good moral character
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, and community.
