About The Position
York General is proud to announce the upcoming opening of the York General Children's Academy, a brand-new, purpose-built child care center opening Spring 2026. Designed with children, families, and educators in mind, this new academy represents an exciting investment in early childhood education and our community's future. We are now hiring Children's Academy Teachers who want to be part of something special from the very beginning. Requirements
- At least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED
- A compassionate, reliable professional with a genuine passion for working with children
- Infant & Child CPR and First Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to complete required child care training within the first 6 months
- Successful completion of background checks and fingerprinting
Nice To Haves
- Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
Responsibilities
- Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children
- Plan and lead age-appropriate activities that encourage learning and discovery
- Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
- Maintain health and safety standards, including meal service and classroom cleanliness
- Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and York General policies
