About The Position

Responsible for the care of children, providing a safe learning environment, and teaching Biblical principles so that children might be nurtured into being followers of Jesus Christ. Responsible for providing age-appropriate care through curriculum implementation, creative play, songs, and storytelling.

Requirements

• Teaching Biblical principles
• Age-appropriate care through curriculum implementation, creative play, songs, and storytelling
• Comply with and execute the Child Protection Policy
• Attend required training
• Receive and release children from and to parents according to security procedures
• Report issues to the Childcare Coordinator
• Monitor classroom equipment and supplies
• Greet children and parents lovingly and cheerfully
• Clean the room (sanitize toys, vacuum carpet, sanitize tables and countertops, bag trash and replace liners)
• Pray for children and parents
• Check diapers and change when needed
• Take potty-training children to the restroom

Responsibilities

• Comply with and execute the Child Protection Policy and attend required training.
• Receive and release children from and to parents according to security procedures.
• Report to the Childcare Coordinator any issues that hinder the carrying out of duties or responsibilities.
• Monitor the condition of classroom equipment and supplies and alert the Childcare Coordinator when necessary.
• Greet children and parents lovingly and cheerfully. Send children home with a positive word to their parents.
• Clean the room: Sanitize toys and return to proper bins and location; Vacuum carpet; Sanitize tables and countertops; Bag all trash and replace liners.
• Pray for the children and their parents.
• Check diapers and change when needed. Take children who are potty training to the restroom.
• Other duties as assigned.
