About The Position
This position is responsible for providing child care services for children, including personal care, hygiene, pre-developed learning and development activities, and specialized programs. The role involves following lesson plans to teach pre-school classes, preparing and maintaining records, and ensuring the cleanliness and orderliness of the child care property. Additionally, the position requires driving a Salvation Army vehicle to transport passengers to and from Salvation Army activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Two years experience teaching child development programs in a church or pre-school, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Valid state commercial driver's license with passenger endorsement.
- C.P.R. and First Aid Certification.
- Must pass a level 2 background screening.
Responsibilities
- Provides constant care for the needs of the children in an efficient, clean, loving, safe, secure, and healthy manner.
- Assists in the classroom by following and carrying out lesson plans which are age-group program specific.
- Provides transportation for children to and from school or other activities.
