About The Position

Small Hands Big Dreams is hiring an experienced Childcare Teacher to nurture and educate young children. The role involves providing quality early childhood education, supporting children’s social and emotional development, communicating with families, and contributing to a collaborative classroom team. Requirements

• High school diploma, unless enrolled in a TECC/vocational program focused on early childhood education or enrolled in college as a high school student studying early childhood education.
• Experience working with young children.
• Some coursework in early childhood education or a related field is identified as an ideal characteristic.
• Teamwork skills.
• Professionalism, motivation, integrity, and commitment to quality.
• Ability to support families through daily communication and engagement.

Nice To Haves

• CPL 1, 2, or 3.
• Early childhood education coursework or coursework in a related field.
• Creativity and enthusiasm for singing, dancing, and engaging with children.
• Commitment to staying with the classroom throughout the year.

Responsibilities

• Ensure children’s health and safety.
• Prepare and implement hands-on activities.
• Actively supervise children at all times.
• Communicate daily with families verbally and through pictures, videos, or messages.
• Build strong family relationships through goal setting and engagement in classroom activities.
• Provide social and emotional support and foster healthy relationships.
• Work professionally and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Be punctual and maintain appropriate interactions, dress, and communication.
• Enroll in and complete training through training platforms.
• Commit to supporting students’ growth throughout the year.
