About The Position

Lifesteps is hiring a Part-Time Childcare Staff in the Beaver area. Lifesteps is a non-profit human services organization which has been serving Western Pennsylvania for nearly 100 years by “helping individuals and families with life's changing needs”. The Agency provides programs and services to help those with special needs live to their fullest potential. If you have a strong desire to help others and serve the community, this is the right opportunity for you. Under the guidance of Supervisor, Children’s Services, ensures the needs of the children are met and assists in the implementation and direction of daily routines and activities. This part-time position works Monday through Friday 9:00am to 2:30pm - with weekends off!

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED
Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
30 credit hours from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, or Human Services field
15 credit hours from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, or Human Services field and 1250 hours of work experience related to the care and development of children
2500 hours of work experience related to the care and development of children
Able to multi-task and work in a team environment

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, or Human Services field
Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, or Human Services field
