About The Position

A Child's Heart Learning Center & Nursery is seeking a Custodian to provide students with a safe, attractive, comfortable, and clean place to learn, play, and develop. This role is part of a peaceful school community where each staff member is considered family.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Previous custodial and grounds experience required
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Comfortable squatting, twisting, bending, and kneeling while using tools and performing maintenance tasks
Possess working knowledge of the methods, techniques, and materials used in custodial work
Ability to climb ladders and work from heights
Familiar with operating, caring for, and storing custodial equipment and supplies

Responsibilities

Walk, sit, stand, and reach with hands and arms, stoop or kneel, and crouch.
Physically capable of lifting or moving heavy objects.
Sufficiently mobile to ensure the safety of students.
Ability move and stand for extended periods.
Manual dexterity to move items around as needed.
Ability to understand written instructions and checklists.
Effectively communicate needs to Administration.
Performs other related duties, as assigned by the administrative team, to ensure the efficient, effective functioning of the school environment.
