About The Position

The Childcare Coordinator role is responsible for recruiting, scheduling, and overseeing childcare workers for all weekly small groups on campus. This position requires a strong understanding of the Children’s Ministry department's values and strategy to fulfill the mission, vision, and values of Community of Hope. This is a part-time role, requiring 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Uphold Biblical priorities and core values of Community of Hope, representing a growing personal relationship with Christ.
  • Model a strong relationship with spouse and children (if applicable), fulfilling personal purpose and demonstrating integrity.
  • Schedule weekly childcare workers by working with the Discipleship Department to determine group schedules, childcare needs, and current needs of Recovery and Youth Ministries.
  • Ensure appropriate number of childcare workers are scheduled to maintain safe ratios.
  • Schedule childcare for special events such as Partnership Gatherings, women’s events, and other ministry events.
  • Supervise and oversee childcare workers by being present during shifts to ensure proper procedures are followed and environments meet Community of Hope’s standard of excellence.
  • Facilitate childcare curriculum by preparing and gathering materials needed for each session according to the COH Kids Director's curriculum.
  • Train childcare workers to use the curriculum effectively and engagingly.
  • Prepare and gather materials for Recovery Ministry using Celebration Place curriculum.
  • Interview and train new childcare workers by managing applications, conducting interviews, and overseeing training.
  • Complete onboarding paperwork for new hires.
  • Conduct semiannual trainings for all childcare workers.
  • Manage rooms and supplies by communicating with the Children’s Ministry Department regarding needed supplies (snacks, cleaning products, classroom materials).
  • Ensure all rooms used for childcare are maintained in excellent condition.
