About The Position

The Childcare Assistant Director helps manage the daily operations of a childcare school, supporting children’s safety, education, and care. The role includes administrative work, family tours, recordkeeping, maintaining compliance with state licensing requirements and company policies, and helping the school run smoothly. The Assistant Director partners with families, supports teachers in implementing the curriculum and creating developmentally appropriate classrooms, and builds positive relationships with families, staff, licensing representatives, and the community. The position may also provide classroom assistance and support to staff when needed. The Sunshine House operates more than 100 schools across seven states and has provided early education and childcare for children from six weeks to 12 years old for 50 years. The role is based at 1104 Grace Street, Greenwood, South Carolina. The listed pay range is $17–$19, with potential for higher pay based on advanced education and experience. Regular increases may be considered based on additional education, performance, and years of service.

Requirements

At least one year of management experience working in a licensed childcare center setting.
Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and other business-related programs.
At least 21 years old.
Passion for providing high-quality care and education.
