Minimum of 5 years of experience in increasingly responsible positions involving family law, extensive computer usage, investigation and dealing with the public.

Responsibilities
Answer and log telephone calls in writing and in the KIDS computer system.
Locate absent parents and their employment.
Gather information regarding income and health insurance for court preparation.
Review information from IV-A regarding new and existing cases and perform necessary work.
Send required information to new customers/payers.
Establish child support orders and health insurance orders through negotiation or court action.
Review and adjust existing child support and health insurance orders as required by law.
Enforce child support orders.
Analyze KIDS system financial records for accuracy, identify errors, and take corrective action.
Perform data entry for case management and fiscal records, including court orders and health insurance information.
Use the KIDS statewide child support computer system to produce documents and letters, enter and disposition events, update information, and maintain work lists.
Prepare legal documents such as service of process, income withholding, stipulations, court orders, motions, affidavits, orders to show cause, criminal documents, and interstate documents.
Suspend recreational and professional licenses after consulting with the Manager.
Seize bank accounts after consulting with the Administrator.
Establish working relationships with other County and State agencies.
Monitor cases for payments and take appropriate enforcement actions.
Provide health insurance information to customers.
Retrieve and work daily reports.
Verify employment upon receipt of information.
Investigate reports of missing payments.
Reconcile child support accounts.
Calculate and prepare arrearage affidavits.
Receipt and forward over-the-counter and mail-in child support payments.
Prepare and forward Housing Authority income verification requests.
Prepare and provide child support account statements upon request.
Prepare vouchers and order/maintain office supplies.
Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets as needed.
Scan all documents into the Laserfiche imaging system.
Perform general filing, purge old files, and record actions.
Provide information to the general public.
Attend ongoing job-related continuing education training classes and read/understand child support related materials.
Assist the State of Wisconsin Bureau of Child Support with projects upon request.
