About The Position

Boston Ballet is seeking individuals to work on a temporary, hourly basis as a Child Supervisor for its seasonal production of The Nutcracker. This role involves overseeing child performers during rehearsals, costume fittings, and performances. The position requires availability for daytime and evening hours, including weekday matinees, from late October through December 31st. Supervisors will be needed at both the Boston Ballet studios and the Citizens Opera House.

Requirements

• Experience working with children is required.
• Must be available for daytime and evening hours throughout the performance run (late October - December 31st).
• Availability and flexibility are important during the performance period.
• Must pass a background check as a condition of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of music, dance, and performing arts productions is a plus.
• Stage Management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring children during rehearsals, costume fittings, and performances.
• Escorting children backstage at the Opera House.
• Assisting with getting children to wardrobe and onstage at appropriate times.
• Ensuring safe and efficient entrances and exits from the stage area.

Benefits

• Hourly pay rate of $18.00/hour.
