About The Position

The Child Sponsorship Admin is responsible for the daily management and administration of the One More Child Sponsorship Program on a full-time (non-salary) employment basis. They will maintain collaborative relationships with the Sponsorship staff to build and maintain and sponsorship support. This position will require knowledge of all aspects of our ministry, communicating confidence in our abilities, and inspiring others to join in our work. This position is a critical part of our Global Childcare department and will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our sponsors are being delighted, and needs are being met for the children we are supporting, through our sponsorship program.

Requirements

  • Experience in customer service, data and project management, development, budget management, and strategic planning

  • Ability to see the big picture and to bring those concepts to sponsors and potential donors and communicate it clearly to our constituents.
  • Ability to think and act strategically and provide sound judgement.
  • Ability to take overall responsibility for the development and administration of creative and comprehensive plans.
  • Ability to work with the Vice President and Directors in all phases of program ministry: communications, finance, development, engagement and programs.
  • Ability to creatively meet needs of changing dynamics.
  • Ability to establish and build upon personal relationships to cultivate and maintain long-term relationships of engagement with constituents.
  • Ability to confidently motivate others to engage in partnership (both hands-on and financially) to support FBCH/OMC ministries including church leadership, groups and individuals.
  • Ability to listen and discern, then develop, execute strategies.
  • Skilled in delegating and sharing responsibilities with other personnel as the situation requires.
  • Demonstrated sensitivity to the cultural differences that exist among our various constituents, ministry partners and families we serve.
  • Ability to accurately communicate needs of children and families in the ministry.
  • Knowledge or willingness to learn the Raiser’s Edge, Reach and Luminate data base programs and utilize them consistently with competence to maximize the program’s impact.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats. Proven facilitation and presentation skills

  • Have had a personal conversion experience with Jesus Christ and been scripturally baptized.

  • Demonstrate personal and devotional habits and practices such as Bible study, prayer, and daily meditation.
  • Be a member of a New Testament, evangelical Church in the local community and attend regularly.
  • Engage in witness activities as a normal part of life.

Nice To Haves

  • Solid knowledge of church culture and Southern Baptist policy at local, state, and national level is desired but not required
  • Knowledge of or experience in child social services is a plus
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assists with the management of sponsorship profiles including verbal, written and social media communications between sponsors and One More Child offices including photos, stories, payment & annual letters.
  • Assists with maintaining updates between sponsorship databases for offline & credit card payments.
  • Coordinates with OMC directors and the communications team to write and distribute the Sponsorship Quarterly Update emails, annual letter templates, social media content and other sponsorship stories/information as required.
  • Assists in managing batch conversation letters from child sponsors to ministry partners monthly through sponsorship portal.
  • Prepares child sponsorship folders for mission team leaders & teams to reference while on the field.
  • Works with the finance office to communicate child sponsorship financial updates.
  • Maintains communication with Child Sponsor Director to collect and maintain adequate sponsorship profiles and pertinent sponsorship information.
  • Communicate with sponsors and potential sponsors to update payment information, cancel sponsorships, enroll new sponsorships, and answer all inquiries regarding the program.
  • Assists with promotional events – this could include occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Assist in keeping sponsors engaged and delighted.
  • Works closely with staff to achieve personal and child sponsorship goals.
  • Other duties assigned.
