About The Position

The Child Nutrition Manager at Roosevelt High School helps provide meals and services that meet nutritional requirements, offer a variety of menu items, and provide healthy choices with fresh ingredients. The manager supervises and trains staff, oversees food and equipment ordering and storage, assists with food production, maintains records and safety procedures, and serves as a liaison among students, teachers, and building administration. The position also includes evaluating staff, completing daily deposits, and performing lunchbox duties as needed.

This is a 1.0 FTE position, working Monday through Friday from 6:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., 40 hours per week for nine months. The starting pay is $24.46 per hour. A post-offer physical, funded by the District, is required before starting, as is a post-offer criminal background check. Certification courses offered by CANS must be attended before or after hiring.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• One to three years of experience in a similar position desired.
• Must attend certification courses offered by CANS before or after hiring.
• Must complete a post-offer physical before starting; the District funds the physical.
• Must complete a post-offer criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

• One to three years of previous institutional quantity food-preparation or food-service experience preferred.
