The Child Family Interventionist role involves assessing and determining interventions for assigned consumers, including children, adolescents, families, and other custodial entities such as school personnel and the Cabinet for Health and Families Services. The position may involve authorizing services for non-intrusive individual, group, family, and screening/diagnostic assessments. Additional authorizations for Behavioral Health Services can be obtained through demonstrated competencies, continuing education, and in-service trainings. The role requires implementing treatment plans based on assessment data and professional standards, providing care ethically, and maintaining accurate client files within specified timeframes. The interventionist must respond to emergencies promptly, work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and independently, maintain professional relationships with referral sources, and provide activity reports. A supervision plan must be maintained with the Human Resource Department.
