About The Position
This position involves supervising and implementing activities in an extended day program for school-age children at Iles Elementary. The role requires meeting the individual needs of each child, treating them with dignity and respect, and sharing in housekeeping responsibilities. The assistant will also attend mandatory staff meetings, participate in training, and establish positive relationships with parents and children. The position supports program goals, school rules, and staff members, with additional duties assigned by supervisors.
Requirements
- Highly interested in school-age children
- Warm, positive attitude and an ability to relate with children and adults
- Willingness to fulfill the program goals
- MUST HAVE 60 college credits
- Take any required online training classes (Gateways)
- Become CPR and First Aid certified
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Nice To Haves
- Prefer a degree in Child Care, teaching, or a related area of study
Responsibilities

- Other duties as assigned by the Coordinator, Assistant Coordinator or Immediate Supervisor
