About The Position
The House of the Good Shepherd (HGS) is seeking a Child Care Worker to support children and teens in a residential setting. The worker provides a steady presence for young people who have experienced significant trauma, helping create structure, safety, and security as they navigate daily life. The role is part of HGS’s individualized, compassionate care for youth and families, guided by the Sanctuary Model of care. The position is based at the Champlin Ave location in Utica, New York. It is full-time, with an evening shift from 3–11 p.m. that includes weekends. Occasional travel is required. The listed pay is $20.16 per hour, and the posting offers a $1,000 sign-on bonus.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid New York State driver's license.
- Dependability, compassion, and willingness to learn.
