About The Position

Bright Horizons is hiring a full-time Child Care Teacher at NYU Langone in Manhattan, working with infants, toddlers, and two-year-olds. The teacher creates hands-on learning activities that meet children’s needs and interests, communicates with parents about children’s daily milestones, and maintains a safe, clean classroom by following required procedures and guidelines. This is an in-person role in an early education/preschool child care center. The teacher provides supervision, care, curriculum delivery, and related services in accordance with Bright Horizons policies and procedures, applicable laws, and safety requirements. Employees must comply with applicable immunization, employment physical or screening, and health and safety training requirements. A flu vaccine by October 15 is required per NYU Langone. Bright Horizons offers opportunities to learn from early education experts and pursue a CDA or college degree at no cost through its Horizons CDA & Degree Program. The hourly rate is $23.00–$26.00, with a $1,500 hiring incentive payable after 100 days of employment. Actual compensation depends on factors including experience, education, training, certifications, geography, and other relevant factors.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Have a high school diploma or GED.
Have 9 college credits in Early Childhood Education and a study plan leading to an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.
Pass required state and company background checks and meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements.
Receive a flu vaccine by October 15, as required by NYU Langone.
Comply with applicable immunization, employment physical or screening, and health and safety training requirements.

Nice To Haves

An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education is strongly preferred.
At least two years of experience working in child care, daycare, or preschool is preferred.
