About The Position

Community Action is a non-profit organization that provides critical services to low-income families in the areas of housing, homeless services, economic empowerment, family development, and early childhood care and education. Community Action leads the way to eliminate conditions of poverty and create opportunities for people in the Washington County area. Be the change you want! As a CCR&R Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for early educators across Washington County. You'll play a critical role in recruiting and retaining providers, managing professional development calendars, and ensuring that families have access to high-quality, licensed child care. Whether you are helping a new provider get licensed or coordinating a large-scale training event, your work directly supports the educators who care for our youngest community members.

Requirements

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• A Step 3 on the Oregon Registry, or at least 1 year of experience in a licensed child care program.
• Professional-level fluency in both English and Spanish (written and verbal).
• Intermediate computer literacy (MS Office Suite) and the ability to manipulate data and design reports within complex databases.
• Requires a valid Oregon driver's license, proof of auto insurance for a private vehicle, and access to reliable transportation.
• At least 3 years of experience in the field of childhood care and education.
• Must have achieved a Step 7.5 or higher on the Oregon Registry.
• Must be an OCCD-approved Community Trainer.

Nice To Haves

• Demonstrated understanding of systemic inequity and systemic racism within the education system.
• Prior enrollment in the Oregon Central Background Registry.
• Experience with software like Constant Contact, DocuSign, or FireSpring.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for educators, assisting with database enrollment (Find Child Care Oregon) and professional development registration.
• Monitor and update partner databases to ensure all provider qualifications and rate data (Market Price Survey) are current and accurate.
• Manage bilingual email communications via Constant Contact, update social media, and create promotional flyers/brochures.
• Support all aspects of training delivery, including registration, technical assistance for online/in-person sessions, and issuing certifications.
• Handle fiscal tasks like invoicing and purchase orders via DocuSign, and maintain an organized inventory of program supplies.
• Co-train and independently deliver high-quality Set 1 trainings aligned with the Oregon Registry.
• Lead the creation of quarterly newsletters and marketing materials in both English and Spanish.
• Work toward becoming an OCCD Master Trainer while mentoring other educators in the field.
