Your main responsibilities will be to provide project coordination, implementation support, and session facilitation across early learning workforce initiatives. The Early Learning Workforce Lead supports operation of core workforce systems and teams by coordinating scheduling, documentation, communication, data tracking, and observation tasks. The Lead conducts observation of trainings and coaching sessions for fidelity, facilitates small-group professional learning sessions, and serves as a logistical contact for Early Learning Workforce Specialists, educators, and partners. The Lead focuses on implementation, coordination, facilitation, data integrity, complex technical assistance and/or coaching needs. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Development, Social Services, or a related field; OR Step 10 or higher on the Oregon Registry Online (ORO); OR Ability to achieve within 1 year.
  • Three (3) years of experience in early learning childhood programs.
  • Two years of experience providing coaching supports, and /or technical assistance to adults in early learning programs
  • Driver qualifications are required for this position. Valid driver license, insured vehicle available for use on the job, and a satisfactory drive record for the previous three years are required.
  • Successful registration with the Central Background Registry of the Child Care Division.
  • Candidate must pass a comprehensive MWVCAA background screening prior to employment.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification or the ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
  • Candidate must pass pre-employment and random drug screenings.
  • Strong understanding of early childhood education to include, reflective practices, coaching models, developmentally appropriate practices and workforce systems/strategies.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills; ability to manage multiple deadlines and workflows.
  • Strong verbal and written communication; ability to facilitate small‑group sessions.
  • Proficiency with office and collaboration tools (e.g., Google Workspace/Microsoft Office, virtual training platforms, early childhood data systems).
  • Ability to build rapport with educators.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual English-Spanish is preferred. To qualify as bilingual, staff must pass a bilingual exam demonstrating fluent speaking, reading, and writing in English and Spanish. Required bilingual staff will receive a pay differential based on language test results.

Responsibilities

  • Provides project coordination and implementation support
  • Supports the management team in designing or refining components of workforce systems, including Coaching structures, QIS workflows, Apprenticeship-related processes, and FCCN models.
  • Provides feedback on tools, templates, workflows, and program materials.
  • Evaluates new structures before full implementation.
  • Participates in planning meetings to strengthen alignment across CCR&R workforce.
  • Provides advanced coaching and technical assistance to early learning educators, aligned to CCR&R models.
  • Schedules, documents, and maintains coaching cycles including goals, action plans, and follow-up support.
  • Provides coaching to Early Childhood apprentices and educators using evidence-based frameworks.
  • Creates coaching plans with clear teaching-practice goals; conduct regular observations and provide strengths-based feedback.
  • Facilitates reflective practice and classroom application of skills; schedule and deliver on-site and virtual coaching to support Every Child Belongs.
  • Supports educators with Oregon Registry advancement, professional development planning, and credential attainment.
  • Maintains timely, accurate documentation to meet state, grant and program requirements.
  • Coordinates ongoing professional learning.
  • Uses data to inform coaching and report on outcomes that strengthen early learning systems and workforce capacity.
  • Assess and supports Early Learning programs in implementing Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) strategies.
  • Provides technical assistance on best business practices and program management, curriculum implementation, inclusionary practices and family engagement.
  • Coordinates, recruits and facilitates participation in professional development groups such as Focused Child Care Networks, Communities of Practice and cohorts among early learning educators and program directors.
  • Designs and delivers professional learning opportunities in-person, virtually, and asynchronously incorporating adult learning principles.
