Child Care Group Leader: Substitute (Larimer County)
About The Position
Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County is seeking an energetic, adaptable, youth-focused Child Care Group Leader to help provide a fun, safe, and positive before- and after-school experience. This is a substitute role that travels among Club locations across Larimer County to provide coverage or assistance as needed; it is not assigned to a regular location. The position is variable-hour, part-time, and non-exempt, paying $18.00–$19.00 per hour. Scheduled hours are Wednesday from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. for before-school programming and Monday through Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for after-school programming.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least three months (455 hours) of verified experience caring for and supervising four or more children over age four who are not related to the individual, or a current Early Childhood Professional Credential Level I or higher.
- Ability to motivate youth and manage behaviors.
- Must pass criminal and driving records investigations and reference checks.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience working in an after-school setting.
- Bilingual Spanish-speaking ability.
- CPR certification.
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing and leading fun, memorable after-school programs, including academic enrichment, good character and citizenship, and healthy lifestyles.
- Help ensure the safety of Club members.
