About The Position
HealthFitness, a Trustmark company, is hiring on-call Child Care Attendants at the Advocate Condell Centre Club, a HealthFitness-managed client site in Gurnee, Illinois. The attendant creates a safe, engaging, and fun environment for children while their parents use the facility. Shifts will vary. The compensation range is $15.00–$16.00 per hour; the final wage offer depends on factors including location, qualifications, experience, and skill set.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Obtain Child/Infant CPR/AED/first aid certification from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety & Health Institute within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to multitask and work quickly and accurately.
- Computer proficiency, including at minimum Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- Flu vaccination required.

- Knowledge and experience with young children.
- Customer service experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe and fun play for children at the facility.
- Greet and interact with parents and follow up on children's needs.
- Plan activities and assist with stimulating, age-appropriate games and tasks.
- Observe and play with children.
- Ensure children are safe and engaged in developmental activities.
- Participate in children's activities, including reading, painting, crafts, and play.
- Sanitize toys and play equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
