About The Position
The Child Care Assistant ensures children are in a safe and comfortable environment and receive personal care and nurturing. The role involves working with children from six weeks through 12 years of age, supporting their learning and socialization, and assisting with daily plans and activities.
Requirements
- Minimum one year of experience in a child care-related area.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or obtain it within 60 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Responsibilities
- Establish and sustain effective working relationships with employees, patrons, families, and facility guests.
- Work closely with parents to support children's learning and positive socialization.
- Assist with implementation of daily plans and activities.
- Provide care for multiple children, ranging in age from six weeks to 12 years, with patience and a positive attitude.
- Ensure children are in a safe and comfortable environment and provide personal care and nurturing.
