Child Care Assistant Toddler Teacher
About The Position
BrightPath Kids is seeking a Child Care Assistant Toddler Teacher for its Mason, Ohio center. The role supports teachers and families in providing a home-away-from-home experience for children in care, in accordance with NAEYC guidelines. The assistant helps maintain a safe, warm, clean classroom environment where children can grow and explore, and assists with classroom instruction and activities. Paid training on classroom procedures is provided, and prior classroom experience is not required. The position is listed as full-time, part-time, or seasonal, with pay of $14–$18 per hour and no evenings or weekends.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain organized.
- Ability to work within regular operating hours.
- Must meet state criteria for child care employment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
- Assist teachers with classroom instruction.
- Decorate classrooms indoors and outdoors as needed.
- Maintain a warm, safe, and clean environment that allows children to grow and explore.
- Interact with children to encourage their involvement in activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child.
