About The Position

This role is responsible for the administrative support and day-to-day operations of the TMH Child Care Centers. The Assistant Director assists in administrative functions required to maintain daily operations of the department and is available to advise and assist. The position requires knowledge of early childhood development and clerical and administrative skills to perform Center operations. The Assistant Director also assists in supervising staff and working with patrons of the Center.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Three (3) years classroom and supervisory experience.
  • 45 hours FL Department of Children and Families (DCF) training including passing the competency examination, Child Development Associate (CDA) and Director’s Credential issued by DCF.
  • Strong communication, human relations, and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Directly related supervisory experience as Director or Assistant Director.
