About The Position

This is an entry-level ABA therapy position at North Shore Pediatric Therapy. No prior clinical experience is required. The role involves working 1:1 with autistic children ages 2-12, implementing therapy plans created by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The position emphasizes being a consistent and supportive presence for the children. The company practices assent-based, neuroaffirming care, focusing on following the child's lead, honoring boundaries, and building trust. The role offers a genuinely interdisciplinary environment, working alongside occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and mental health professionals.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Able to actively engage with children — sitting on the floor, walking, lifting up to 45 lbs.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Someone who is good with kids.
  • Someone who stays calm when things get hard.
  • Someone who wants to build a career in behavioral health, child psychology, ABA, special education, occupational therapy, or speech-language pathology.

Nice To Haves

  • College coursework in psychology, education, or a related field preferred.
  • Real experience with kids — babysitting, coaching, camps, classroom work, tutoring, youth ministry, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Work 1:1 with autistic children ages 2-12.
