Provide outpatient therapy to children, adults, and families for the purpose of improving the quality of life for the person/family served. This position is supervised by the Program Supervisor. Essential job functions include providing integrated services that are welcoming, engaging, and accessible, addressing behavioral healthcare, physical healthcare, and social needs. The role promotes a warm and engaging organizational culture aligned with Northcare values, trauma-informed care, and health and wellness. The therapist will carry a differentiated caseload involving highly complex cases, requiring intensive clinical service and extensive professional diagnostic and treatment experience. Services include individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and care coordination utilizing evidence-based practices. Consultation with other program staff within and outside the agency is expected to facilitate referrals. The role involves performing intake interviews and initial assessments, including gathering information about the client's symptoms, behavior, functioning, history, needs, goals, and preferences. The therapist will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support health behavior change in persons with behavioral health challenges, interacting and collaborating professionally with clients, their families, support systems, and community partners to achieve treatment goals. Crisis management services are also a key component, potentially including face-to-face or telephone interviews, assessment of lethality, available support systems, and assistance in arranging appropriate interventions, including hospitalization. Consultation with supervisors regarding crisis situations and safety concerns is mandatory. The position requires obtaining and maintaining required credentialing, including licensure or under supervision status and Alcohol and Other Drugs Treatment Practitioner (AODTP) status, as well as understanding and competency in instruments required by agency payers and commonly used by mental health/substance use professionals. Participation in staff consultations for case presentation and diagnostic/treatment planning, as well as mandatory program meetings, is expected. The role supports the monitoring and tracking of client outcome measures and requires timely maintenance of clinical records in accordance with agency policy, funding sources, and accreditation authorities, completing all required forms accurately. Maintaining professional competency through readings, workshops, and trainings, and complying with all requirements for professional certification maintenance is essential. Knowledge of NorthCare's electronic record system, CCBHC requirements, ODMHSAS Services manual, contract requirements, benchmarks, National Outcome Measures (NOMS), and Medicaid rules and regulations is necessary. Prompt return of phone calls and text pages, daily email response, and consistent work attendance with timely supervisor contact for absences are required. Completion of all NorthCare required courses and training, and compliance with all agency policies and procedures, including documentation deadlines and productivity expectations, are mandatory.
