Child and Adolescent Therapist - LCSW, LPC, LMFT

Blackbird Health•Burke, VA
•$55,000 - $115,000

About The Position

Blackbird Health is hiring licensed therapists to provide high-quality virtual and in-person therapy to children, adolescents, young adults ages 2–26, and their caregivers in Virginia, Maryland, or New Jersey. Therapists build relationships with patients and families, understand their needs, support treatment engagement, and educate them about therapeutic approaches that foster long-term progress. Care is compassionate, evidence-based, and grounded in a whole-child approach that considers how the brain, body, and behavior interact. Therapists work with an interdisciplinary team and may choose from multiple employment arrangements. W-2 full-time roles offer a 36-hour scheduled clinical workload supporting 28 completed direct-care hours each week, with four-day schedule options and two virtual hours. At least 20 hours each week must fall during peak periods after 3:00 PM on weekdays and/or weekends. The full-time base salary is $75,000 for a three-day-onsite hybrid arrangement or $80,000 for a fully onsite arrangement, with eligibility for quarterly productivity bonuses. W-2 part-time roles are 20 contracted hours per week, supporting 17 completed direct-care hours. All scheduled hours are anchored in peak periods after 3:00 PM on weekdays and/or weekends. Compensation is a $55,000 base plus an $80 incentive for completed sessions beyond the 17-hour baseline. The 1099 contractor arrangement pays $90 per completed clinical session, requires at least 10 open patient-care hours per week to support a baseline of eight completed clinical hours, and places available hours in peak periods. Contractors manage their schedules autonomously and have no non-billable administrative burden. Blackbird handles credentialing, billing, insurance, and EMR so clinicians can focus on patients. The organization provides a guaranteed caseload, paid weekly clinical consultation, and peer support. Blackbird is committed to inclusion and equal employment opportunity and provides reasonable accommodations during the application and interview process.
