About The Position

Blackbird Health is seeking licensed therapists to provide evidence-based virtual and in-person care to children, adolescents, and young adults ages 2–26, as well as their caregivers, in Virginia, Maryland, or New Jersey. Therapists build relationships with patients and families, support engagement in treatment, and explain therapeutic approaches that promote long-term progress. They work as part of a collaborative interdisciplinary team using a whole-child approach that considers how the brain, body, and behavior interact. Several employment arrangements are available. Full-time W-2 clinicians have a 36-hour scheduled clinical availability workload supporting 28 completed direct-care hours per week. The schedule offers four-day options, such as 12:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m. or 1:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m., plus two virtual hours, with at least 20 core hours per week during peak evening and/or weekend periods. The stated base salary is $75,000 for three onsite days (hybrid) or $80,000 for fully onsite work, with eligibility for a quarterly productivity bonus. Part-time W-2 clinicians work 20 contracted hours per week, supporting 17 completed direct-care hours. All 20 hours are scheduled during peak periods after 3:00 p.m. on weekdays and/or weekends. Compensation is a $55,000 base plus an $80 incentive for each completed session beyond the 17-hour baseline. 1099 contractors receive $90 per completed clinical session and commit to at least 10 open patient-care hours per week to achieve a baseline of at least 8 completed clinical hours. Available hours must fall during peak periods after 3:00 p.m. on weekdays and/or weekends; contractors manage their schedules autonomously and have no non-billable administrative burden. Blackbird handles credentialing, billing, insurance, and the electronic medical record, and provides a guaranteed caseload, paid weekly clinical consultation, and peer support. Benefits listed for W-2 roles include medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) with company match, paid time off, 11 paid holidays, life insurance, and short- and long-term disability for full-time employees. Part-time benefits list medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and 11 paid holidays.
