About The Position

The West Virginia University Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute and WVU School of Medicine’s Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry seek a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist for Healthy Minds Moundsville located in Moundsville, WV. This role involves practicing in the area of child and adolescent psychiatry in an outpatient clinic setting, with responsibilities including medication management, collaboration with local schools, and overseeing Advanced Practice Providers. Healthy Minds Moundsville is a behavioral medicine outpatient clinic that currently serves over 800 patient visits monthly and is looking to expand services. WVU Medicine Children’s Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry also operates an acute psychiatric adolescent unit for crisis care. Reynolds Memorial Hospital is a nonprofit, acute-care community hospital and a member of the West Virginia University Health System, offering a full range of medical services. The Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry is part of the WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute, which focuses on innovative solutions for neurological and psychiatric conditions. The WVU Health System is a large network of hospitals and providers serving a multi-state region.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
• Eligible for state medical licensure.
• Completed a psychiatry residency program.
• Board certified/eligible in child and adolescent psychiatry.
• All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Practice in the area of child and adolescent psychiatry in the outpatient clinic of Healthy Minds Moundsville.
• Medication management.
