About The Position

Emory University School of Medicine's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is seeking a full-time Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist for its outpatient Youth Behavioral Health program. The role involves treating youth with various mental health conditions within a multidisciplinary, team-based care model. This position offers opportunities for both clinical care and education, with support provided for nursing, scheduling, and case management. The position includes a joint faculty appointment at Emory University School of Medicine and Emory Healthcare.

Requirements

Applicants should hold an unrestricted license for the state of Georgia and be board certified in Psychiatry.
The candidate must be board-eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Obtaining board certification will be a requirement for retention.

Preference will be given to applicants who have a combined and integrated interest in clinical, research, and teaching activities.
Appointment at any level beyond Assistant Professor will require a successful record of external funding to support research activities, administrative experience, and an active publication record of accomplished research.

Responsibilities

Clinical outpatient child, adolescent and young adult treatment, teaching and collaboration are priorities for this position.
Research or education related funds can offset the percent time for any of these activities.
All faculty are encouraged to supervise residents and fellows.
Successful candidates will work within a multidisciplinary treatment team with expertise in child/adolescent psychiatry and psychology.
The clinic team includes nursing staff and Patient Care and Patient Service Coordinators who conduct intake scheduling and facilitate case management for patients.
