About The Position
NFI Massachusetts Inc. is seeking a Board-Certified Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist to join their adolescent intensive residential treatment programs in Westborough, MA. The organization is dedicated to helping adolescents and their families reach their full potential and seeks a psychiatrist committed to compassionate, expert care. The role involves providing mental status examinations, medication management, and ongoing psychiatric care in collaboration with a psychiatric APRN within licensed and accredited residential programs serving up to 30 adolescents overcoming serious emotional disturbances.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry (fellowship completed).
- Unrestricted medical license in Massachusetts.
- DEA and MA Controlled Substance certificates.
- Experience working with adolescents in a residential or inpatient setting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and provide medication treatments and ongoing review for adolescents in collaboration with a psychiatric APRN.
- Lead all aspects of psychiatric care within the program.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including the APRN, program managers, nurses, clinicians, occupational therapists, and residential staff.
- Offer staff training and consultations to enhance the understanding of medications and mental health.
- Provide support and consultation to staff, youth, and families.
