About The Position

Blackbird Health is looking for a Child and Adolescent Intake Therapist to join their team remotely in Maryland. The therapist will conduct comprehensive intake evaluations and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure each patient is connected to the right ongoing care. This role offers a predictable base salary with the ability to earn more by taking on additional intake evaluations. It is a part-time W-2 employment with full benefits, including healthcare, 401(k) and generous paid time off. The position is remote with flexible scheduling that fits the employee's life, and offers a collaborative, mission-driven team that supports growth. Requirements

  • Independently licensed as an LPC, LMFT, LCSW, or PsyD/PhD in Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or Virginia
  • One (1) year of experience providing individual, direct care to children and adolescent patients
  • One (1) year of experience working in a telehealth or virtual setting
  • Own your own phone, computer, and high-speed internet
  • Flexibility to work during Blackbird's core after-school hours: after 4pm ET during the week and/or weekends

Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive intake evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults (ages 2–26), building meaningful first connections through high-quality, thorough assessment
  • Develop individualized treatment plans that establish a strong clinical foundation and ensure each patient is matched to the right ongoing provider and care approach
  • Invest in first impressions by establishing positive, trusting rapport with patients and families from the very first session
  • Participate in consultation to enhance clinical skills and receive feedback and support
  • Collaborate with specialty providers to ensure seamless care transitions
  • Maintain thorough, timely intake documentation and patient records
  • Involve and advise family members or outside specialists when appropriate during the intake process
