About The Position

We are seeking a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist for a Locum Tenens position in Missoula, MT. This role involves clinical duties and call coverage in an inpatient setting. The coverage period is from ASAP to May 31, 2027. The psychiatrist will see patients aged 12 and older, including adults, on an acute psychiatric unit and a sub-acute unit/residential facility. The position requires a Board Certified Psychiatrist with specialization in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, or a Board Certified Psychologist with extensive experience in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and/or a recently completed fellowship. Support staff includes 1 RN, 1 MA, and 5 Office Staff. The facility is a Level II Trauma Center with 12 beds in the department. Epic is the EMR system used.

Requirements

• Active MT license or IMLC
• Board Certified (BC)
• DEA
• BC in Psychiatry
• BC in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (will accept BC Psychology w/ extensive experience in C/A and/or recently completed C/A fellowship)
• Must be able to see patients 12 yrs & older; No peds.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical coverage in an inpatient setting.
• Participate in call schedule, including weekend nights.
• Conduct phone consults.
• See patients aged 12 and older, including adults.
• Manage a patient volume of approximately 10 patients.
• Maintain a follow-up to new evaluation ratio of 3:1.
