About The Position

The Division of Developmental and Behavioral Health at Children’s Mercy Kansas City is seeking a full time Board Certified (or Certification in Process) Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team. The Division of Developmental and Behavioral Health currently consists of 10 Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists along with Developmental Pediatricians and doctorate level psychologists. The ideal candidate would have experience with providing care as a consultation liaison psychiatrist for children and adolescents with a variety of psychiatric disorders. The position may also include clinic time in an ambulatory setting. Routinely our faculty take on the teaching of residents in psychiatry and pediatrics as well as medical students and psychology interns, and this is balanced with clinical duties. Faculty appointment is with the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine.

Requirements

  • Board Certified (or Certification in Process) Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist

  • Willingness to be vaccinated for seasonal influenza, measles, mumps, rubella (MMR), chicken pox (varicella), and tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis (Tdap) if found non-immune or without evidence of vaccination.
  • Job skills, expertise and ability to maintain professional relationships with fellow employees, patients, parents and visitors.
