About The Position
This is a Locum Tenens position for a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist in Kalispell, MT. The role involves providing outpatient and inpatient psychiatric care for children and adolescents aged 4-17. The psychiatrist will be responsible for evaluations, diagnosis, medication management, and participating in on-call coverage for the Acute Behavioral Health Stabilization Unit. This includes managing admissions, performing daily rounds, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The position requires maintaining accurate documentation in the MediTech EMR system.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE)
- Licensed in MT or IMLC
- BLS required
- Familiarity with Restraint application
- Pharmacotherapy

Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient child and adolescent psychiatric care, including evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management for patients ages 4-17
- Participate in weekend on-call coverage for the Acute Behavioral Health Stabilization Unit, accepting new admissions by phone and performing daily rounds on inpatients
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, therapists, and psych techs in the inpatient unit
- Manage voluntary and involuntary admissions, including rare mental health holds
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the MediTech EMR system
