About The Position

Hospital Sisters Health System is seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead technological advancements for the system. The ideal candidate is a seasoned healthcare technology leader comfortable strategically partnering with operations leaders and external vendors. The CTO will hold direct responsibility for technological strategy, infrastructure, and digital capabilities in support of the organization's mission, and clinical, operational, and financial priorities. This leader will report to the Chief Information Officer and will be responsible for two System Directors, encompassing a total team of 100 colleagues. The role requires the candidate to reside in one of the remote employable states and travel to Springfield, IL monthly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • 10 years of progressively more responsible IT leadership experience or healthcare consulting.
  • Backgrounds outside of healthcare will not be considered.
  • Experience with AI advances.
  • Experience with EPIC and/or Cerner EMRs.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • Leadership experience within healthcare, enterprise technology, infrastructure, or hospital operations.
  • Three (3) years of experience involving the development of information systems plans and use of standard methodologies, selection of vendor products, and implementation of those products.
