About The Position

Cardone Training Technologies Inc. (CTTI) is seeking a Chief Technology Officer to govern its technology stack end-to-end. This role involves not only managing internal technology but also developing it into a product to be sold to clients. The CTO will have the authority to decide which technologies to keep, eliminate, build in-house, or consolidate, while running an efficient and fiscally disciplined technology organization. This is a hands-on leadership position reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, requiring a business partner mentality focused on creating value for the business, clients, and revenue. The ideal candidate will possess a '10X mindset' with a bias for bold moves, speed, and ownership, aiming to rebuild the technology foundation into a competitive advantage and revenue driver while maintaining operational efficiency and budget control.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in IT management, including proven leadership of a technology team, ideally within a medium-sized business.
  • Hands-on, current expertise with VMware, Active Directory, MDM, AWS, Google Workspace, the Mac desktop environment, and application development.
  • Experience in the analysis, installation, administration, and troubleshooting of client/server data networks, including multi-facility environments.
  • Demonstrated record of driving tech stack consolidation, rationalization, or build-vs-buy decisions at a medium-sized business.
  • Strong, current knowledge of AI tools and platforms, with a track record of applying AI to cut costs, replace legacy tools, or build new capability.
  • Experience taking an internally built technology and turning it into a product or platform sold to external clients.
  • A business partner and revenue-focused mentality, considering margin, pricing, and customer value.
  • A '10X mindset' paired with fiscal discipline.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences and make difficult decisions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with data warehousing principles and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of tech stack governance, evaluating and making decisions on all tools, platforms, and systems.
  • Lead the transformation of internal technology into a commercial product for external clients.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI for replacing, augmenting, or eliminating existing tools and creating new revenue streams.
  • Drive a disciplined build-vs-buy-vs-consolidate framework to optimize tech spend.
  • Design and own the architecture for a licensable or purchasable technology platform.
  • Partner with executive leadership as a revenue-focused business partner, aligning roadmap decisions with business impact.
  • Stay hands-on with infrastructure including VMware, Active Directory, MDM, AWS, Google Workspace, and the Mac desktop environment.
  • Oversee daily IT operations, including staffing, resource allocation, and vendor/network administration.
  • Own the security and privacy of company data and systems, driving continuous improvement in security posture.
  • Manage the technology budget rigorously, identifying cost-saving and consolidation opportunities.
  • Apply agile methodologies and disciplined project management to deliver IT projects on time and on budget.
  • Ensure appropriate support coverage for critical systems, including after-hours and weekend availability.
  • Build, mentor, and hold accountable a lean, high-output technology team.
