Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3+ years of proven experience as an engineering manager or senior team leader responsible for direct line management of software engineers.
  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in technology leadership, software engineering and architecture, including full-stack development.
  • Mandatory domain knowledge in SaaS product development and methodologies.
  • Excellent levels of both written and spoken English.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with .NET environments and codebases would be highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully led software developers across a wide range of experience levels and specialties.
  • Bring deep expertise in shaping product strategies in close collaboration with cross-functional leaders.
  • Develop your team while consistently achieving business objectives.
  • Scale an engineering organization, define clear roles and responsibilities, and plan effectively for growth.
  • Proficient in Agile methodologies and have successfully applied these principles to drive productivity and quality improvements.
  • Hands-on experience with project and issue tracking tools such as JIRA, ensuring efficient collaboration and transparency across distributed teams.
  • Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitLab or Jenkins, enabling seamless, automated workflows from development to deployment.
  • Strong practical knowledge of version control systems like Git.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing and migrating cloud-based solutions, particularly within AWS and Azure environments.
  • Overseen the adoption of modern development frameworks and technologies to stay at the forefront of innovation.
  • Leveraged AI tools (such as CoPilot) to enhance delivery speed and code quality.
