About The Position

The Chief Strategy & Growth Officer drives the credit union’s success and expansion. The role serves as a strategic advisor to the President & CEO and Board of Directors and leads strategic planning, geographic expansion, and member growth. It also provides executive leadership to CUSO lines of business and adjacent lending businesses, Data Insights, and organization-wide Process Improvement.

Requirements

• At least 10 years in a leadership position at a financial institution.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
• Ability to read and interpret complex documents and respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.
• High proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Good data analysis skills.
• Ability to prioritize demands from multiple projects.

Nice To Haves

• Experience at a large financial institution.
• Experience in Lending and CUSO management, and participation in mergers and acquisitions.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a strategic advisor to the President & CEO and Board of Directors.
• Plans and executes the annual Strategic Planning Session; updates the short- and long-term Strategic Plan for approval by the President & CEO and Board; and ensures credit union activities remain aligned with the plan.
• Develops and executes organic and inorganic geographic expansion and member growth plans, coordinating with executive-level leaders to integrate them throughout all business lines.
• Provides executive leadership to CUSO lines of business and adjacent Lending businesses, Data Insights, and Process Improvement throughout the organization.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
